28/03/2009 Joondalup Festival – Fuego Duo. The streets of Joondalup will come alive with the sounds of music as well as the spectacle of dance, the smell of fantastic food and an array of shopping and entertainment in March. Fuego Duo (Duncan Gardiner, guitar and Katherine Kruger, violin) are going to be performing in the street arts precinct on Reid Promenade. So come along for the day to enjoy a treat for all the senses but be sure not to miss the cool sounds of this awesome musical duo as they perform a range of cool jazz, hot gypsy and passionate tango. Time: 2:45-3:30pm. 01/05/2009 August Third at KULCHA. August Third has shed its skin and has emerged as a truly new beast indeed! Come and see what all this magic is about as they present a range of their inspired, soulful music. With specially prepared ‘orchestral’ backings, the three talented musicians are able to lure you into their luscious word of sound. Time: 8:00pm. Venue: KULCHA (13 South Tce, Fremantle – above Dome). 03/06/2009 Duncan Gardiner at St Georges – Of Dreams and Fantasy. Duncan will perform in recital as part of the St Georges Lunchtime recital series. The programme will include selections of original solo music from Duncan’s latest album as well as works by Francis Kleynjans and Roland Dyens. Violinist, Dora Piakart, will also feature in the recital with Duncan to perform some breath-taking duos. If you work in the city what better way is there to relax and refresh during a busy working day? Even if you're not working, come in the ethereal surrounds of the cathedral and enjoy the music followed by lunch in the city. Time: 12:10-1pm. Venue: St Georges Catherdal (St Georges Tce, Perth). 17/10/2009 Katriona Walsh and Duncan Gardiner. Exquisite vocalist Katriona Walsh and guitarist Duncan Gardiner perform a recital of beautiful and intriguing songs for voice and guitar. Time: 7:30pm. Venue: Nedlands Uniting Church (237 Princess Road, Nedlands). Tickets: Members - $15, non-members - $25, Concession - $20, students - $10. 6-8/11/2009 Duncan Gardiner and Duo Diavolo in Wongan Hills. Back by popular demand, Duncan and Dora will present music in Wongan Hills over three days to help celebrate the Reynoldson Reserve Wildflower Festival. Just a short 2.5 hour drive North-East of Perth why not spend the long weekend in the country and enjoy the fresh air, the flowers and did I mention the freshly-baked scones!? Duo Diavolo will perform Friday and Saturday night for the festival opening and the community BBQ atop Mt O’Brien as well as at the Tourist Centre on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  Time: Evenings and mornings.
